Lighting a fire in hearts for Christ and His Church since 2008
Joe McClane is a Catholic broadcaster, filmmaker, author, and speaker. He hosts A Catholic Take — a nationally syndicated live radio program covering the headlines from a courageous Catholic perspective, weekdays at 4pm Eastern — and serves as Director of Content and Production at The Station of the Cross Catholic Media Network.
Joe produced the feature documentary The Other Side of Fear: Facing the Father Wound, wrote Muscle Memory: Beating the Porn Temptation, authored the first chapter of Delivered (Catholic Answers), and is at work on the Catholic by Design series. He is the President of Chi Rho Impact Media LLC, and has worked full time in Catholic evangelization since 2008 — traveling across the USA and overseas, lighting a fire in the hearts of thousands for Christ and His Church.
But none of that is where his story starts. Joe grew up in a broken home, addicted to pornography, carrying a father wound — and God pulled him out of all of it. A convert from Protestantism, he came home to the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil of 1999 and married Michelle in September 2000. Twenty-six years later, they live and homeschool in the greater Houston, Texas area with their six children and three grandchildren. They are parishioners of Regina Caeli Catholic Church (FSSP).

The McClane family.
Before the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in the year 312, the emperor Constantine saw a sign in the sky and the words In hoc signo vinces — "In this sign you will conquer." He placed that sign — the Chi Rho, ☧, the first two Greek letters of Christ — on the shields of his men, and the next day the battle turned, and history with it.
Joe puts the same sign on media: radio, film, books, and the spoken word. Same sign, same mission — claim territory for Christ the King, and bring as many souls along as possible.
